Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with diverse needs

- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately

- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals

- Implement individualized care plans and assist with therapy exercises

- Promote socialization and engagement in recreational activities

- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

Requirements:

- Previous experience in direct care or related field preferred

- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism is a plus

- Ability to administer medications accurately and follow medication protocols

- Familiarity with systems related to social work and healthcare services

- First aid certification is preferred

- Ability to lift heavy objects or assist individuals with mobility challenges

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
